Biography

Whittier, Los Angeles CA, United States

The Hash Assassins was founded many moons ago by a bunch of bored kids out of the city of Whittier, CA. Fueled by creativity, alcohol, and other unmentionables, the Hash Assassins quickly developed enough material for both live shows and recorded material. The name Hash Assassins was chosen as a direct translation of the word hashashim, from which the term assassin is derived from. The hashashim were a bunch of hash smoking monks who got super stoned before engaging in covert military operations. Liking the similarities, the name stuck.

What does the band sound like? That’s a tough one. The best complement ever received was at a urinal (how appropriate). Quote the fan: You guys were great! But what kind of music is that? Due to the varied nature of the band members themselves, The Hash Assassins run the gamut of sound. A little bit of metal, a little bit of punk, even some rockabilly. But that’s just for beginners. The songs range from simple punk jams to pretentious creations of rock. One thing that is constant, however, is the energy. The Hash Assassins are never boring, grind-it-out metal tunes.

Lead singer Carlos Delgado (Vocals) is the only surviving member of the band present at it’s time of inception. His influences range from classic rock to hip-hop to punk to indie … well you get the picture. He is responsible for what sounds like cats mating that pass for vocals.
