The names and faces here are not what matters. What matters about Those Mockingbirds is the ingrained desire and effort to make music that resonates; music that can be felt in the pit of the stomach and above all, music that matters.
The Popovers are Catie Braly and the late Tim LaFollette of Greensboro, North Carolina. They were not a live act but did produce an album entitled "Make It So!" consisting of twelve tracks recorded over a 5-year period.
A Female Beck in style and humor. Strong Vocals and Queen-esque harmonies. Story telling lyrics similar to Ben Folds. "The Understudy" has a Weezer vibe about it. Very unique female artist in both personality and musical style and genre.
Little Fish is the work of singer songwriter Juju Sophie (guitar / vocals) and JB Walker (organ / everything else). Their original punky garage-rock sound has evolved into a more electro-influenced style but recorded in a garage with real instruments.
This group is a real family affair, with brother and sister Joe and Helen orginally starting out as a duo performing around Teesside, eventually enlisting brother Frank on Bass and Paul Wilson on drums.
