The collaborations between Brian Eno and Harold Budd began upon completing Budd’s first noticed record entitled The Pavilion Of Dreams. Two years after the success of Budd’s musicianship and Eno’s excellent production on the album, the two combined forces and created Ambient 2: The Plateaux of Mirror, the follow up to Ambient 1: Music for Airports which was the first album to ever coin the term of “ambient music”. Both Eno and Budd afterward experimented with other ambient musicians and met up again to record The Pearl in 1984.

v You could use the universal scrobble. Just go to musicbrainz option and look up either Brian Eno or Harold Budd individually. Scrobble The Pearl or Ambient 2 and the tags will be correct. Go here: http://universalscrobbler.invitationstation.org/

??? why is this collaboration marked as Harold Budd/Brian Eno, while the album with Jon Hassell is Brian Eno & Jon Hassell??? Windows Media Player won't allow / forward slash so I can't scrobble it with it...So I'm going to stay with Harold Budd & Brian Eno...*sigh*

I love the Pearl but I love Ambient 2 slightly more...thought more people would think that way, but guess not.

@micahnewman - Plateuax of Mirror gets more listens because it seems like a logical next step for people that were listening to "Ambient 1: Music for Airplanes" to then go sequentially through the others.
