  • The Slipknot comparison is a bit off-base, but if you can't pick up on the nu metal influence (it's not just the down-tuning), you're either an idiot or in denial because you don't want your precious little hardcore cred ruined.
  • i see the only reason people compare this to slipknot is similar opening riff on one of their song. but stop generalising, the entire work doesnt sound like this. im not particularly a fan of both bands, so my opinion is objective. i just hate weak slipknot tone, and melodic shits.
  • sorry but i dont really see similarity to slipknot, guitar tone is way more strengthened, production is different like typical beat-down hardcore, about guitars, down tuning existed way before nu metal. ever heard about Celtic Frost? slipknot on its heaviest production Liberate sound totally soft and flat to me.
  • The nü metal vibes comment is hardly off-base. They were getting Slipknot comparisons as soon as "Amongst The Rust" came out. Honestly something I picked up on in the intro of "Infestation" too. Rust is still a pretty cool album though.
  • @dane_chaos1, "Nu Metal vibes''? Are you serious?
