Holst this, Holst's veeeeery easy to recognize Mars the Bringer of War here but it seems not many picked up on the use of Wagner's "Siegfried's Death" from Götterdämmerung around the 8th minute.

Talk about dramatic!! The music made this film just as much as the action.

Yes it is very similar to what Holst has done, and which was used in the old Boorman film "Excalibur". Ooops, I have that one on vinyl - I'm ancient!! :-P

Zimmer used themes from "The Battle" (from the beginning of the film) in this scene.
