HtB's fourth album is their most easy-access so far, with powerful songs and headbanging nintendocore riffs.

I fear this album will never receive the attention it deserves.

the only shitty aspect of this album is that Dash wasn't on it. It almost sounds like they turned the guitar and keys up over any kinda bass. Otherwise this is the peak of Htb's greatness.

This is seriously one of the greatest albums I've ever listened to. So many layers of pure fucking beauty, love, tragedy... fuck. Its unforgivable to write off this band as a 'joke' after this album.

wtf are you talking about sgt_baker? The blips and blops are almost never in focus on this album. You probably don't like the album because its their least nintendocore album

I think I'm the only person who doesn't like this one as much as the rest of their discography. This is probably their most nintendocore album, with more bloops and the samples, but at first they rejected the nintendocore label. Now they are embracing it? I'm not saying that they sold out but I think they are heading in the wrong direction. While it is a "better" album it just doesn't do it for me in the way that R Borlax or the Mechanical Hand does.

The Earth Tour 6 DVD documentary describes the genesis of this album. It was already my favourite H the b album, but after watching that... fuck, you see first hand the changes in their lives that lead to making 'Desperate Living'. Plus, you get to see them hang with Big Business, live at the top while they're at the fucking bottom, obsess over "science and technology" and "arrive" at each new country. All that shit turned into gold in the studio. There's also a rape escape, from the same scene as this photo.
