[1.] H.O.T. (“High Five of Teenagers”), formed by SM Entertainment, was one of the most popular K-pop groups of the late nineties. It consisted of five members, all of whom knew how to play various instruments. Produced by Lee Soo Man, their style of music was usually a mixture of rap and ballads, with Kangta providing most of the vocals to the ballads. The magnitude of their fanbase was so immense that they became the the first K-pop group to hold a concert in the Seoul Olympic Stadium.

The members of H.O.T. were very talented songwriters — on their 3rd album “Resurrection”, they wrote most of their own songs. By the time they released their final two albums — “I yah!” and “Outside Castle” — they had become masters of both songwriting and composition. In addition, they were also talented dancers, with Moon Hee Jun and Jang Woo Hyuk choreographing all of their songs.

The H.O.T. lineup remained the same during the life of the band and consisted of:

Kangta (Real name: Ahn Chil Hyun, 안칠현; 安七炫) - Lead Vocal
Moon Hee Jun (문희준; 文熙俊) - Leader and Singer
Tony An (Real name: An Seung Ho, 안승호; 安勝浩) - Lead English Rapper and Backup
Jang Woo Hyuk (장우혁; 張佑赫) - Lead Korean Rapper and Backup
Lee Jae Won (이재원; 李在元) - Singer and Backup
