Shackler's Revenge (3:37)
From Chinese Democracy
“Shackler’s Revenge” (which had its premeire on Rock Band 2) opens with a deep-voiced Axl gradually building towards his characteristic yowl, and features guitar noodling from their past guitarist Buckethead and some parts (at least the solo part) by their current guitarist Bumblefoot. The song’s low crunch sticks with the album’s long-stated industrial leanings, and again, layers upon layers of Axl’s create a particular sort of demented choir.
Written by: The song was written by Axl Rose, Brian Carroll aka Buckethead, Caram Costanzo, Brian Mantia aka Brain and Pete Scaturro.
Written in: It was written in or before 2003. Parts of the song were re-done after Buckethead left the band. Ron confirmed that he recorded the solos and bridges of the song.
