Originally starting in 1989 as Full’s creative outlet called Guniw that incorporated artwork and music, Guniw Tools became what it’s known as today after Jake joined in 1992. Before they became major, Asaki joined the group as a support guitarist, but joined officially after becoming a hit with the fans. In 1996 they were signed to Victor Entertainment, a major record company, and quickly released their first album, Niwlun.

Jake was responsible for the musical style on their first three albums, writing almost all of the songs, with some duties falling to Full and Asaki. Asaki added an industrial influence to many songs as well as providing backup vocals and took a much more prominant role following the departure of Jake. Guniw Tools’ music ranges all over the map, from regular rock to industrial to jazz-influenced to inspired by countries like Nepal and India. Guniw Tools never really had a typical visual kei image, instead preferring to be slightly more quirky.

Other Goose is AWESOME!!! And weirdly enough, the last album I heard too (along with Sparky, didn't even care that Sparky really existed until this year). One of my favs. I own a copy of it which I haven't even unwrapped by fear of scratching it or something because it's that awesome haha. Personally, I like it as much as Dazzle, but I think also more than Fickle Boon:) Living Hairspring, Fuyu no Uguisu and Plenty of Flour are all some of my favorite songs. Well I guess that's the cool thing about liking a band for so long, Chuuzetsu. You end up discovering or rediscovering albums and songs that didn't mean a lot to you in the past and depending of where you are in life you'll suddenly like them. I used to dislike most of Niwlun 5 years ago, now it's probably the GT album I listen to the most.

oh shit son, you've been missing out. While probably my least favorite of the 4 full albums it's still epic (it's GT how could it not be). Yomogi No Kokoro, kafuu sekai, and fancy pink are made of awesome. And living hairspring and plenty of flour. Actually thinking of all the good songs I may like it better than Niwlun. But Dazzle and Fickle Boon still rule supreme. : )
