I don't know what you guys are talking about regarding the Band of Horses cover. I think it's great. It's very catchy, and they do an excellent job with vocal harmonies which is usually very difficult to do. I can hear the Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young influence, mixed with a little bluegrass. Sure it's a lot different from the rest of the EP, but that doesn't mean it's bad.
you... are't getting what she said. she said that she heard the remixes of Alligator and Shift on Horn of Plenty. (i still don't think that 2/8 songs constitutes "most of it", but.)
plus, Deep Blue Sea isn't a remix, it's a cover.
this was the first album of theirs that i bought, and i thought it was amazing, so there's my two cents.
i gotta say i'm not too impressed with this, i had already heard most of the remixes from the horn of plenty remixes album, and the others are just so so.. the one thing that makes this album worth it daniel's deep blue sea, i had been wanting a concrete copy of this forever and now i do. nice.. :)
