“I have discovered that it is enough when a single note is beautifully played” - Arvo Part.
Gregory Paul lures listeners through a beautifully haunted acoustic soundscape of folk-noir sounds and images…along miles of ethereal banjo, guitar, bow, slide, and musical saw. Following his popular success with the Rocheser, NY based Autumdivers, Paul released his highly applauded solo album “Awake From the Flash” in 2005. On Awake From the Flash, GP enlisted the help of violinist Lisa Toth and lyricist B.C. Doran for the song “Diver and Child.” The album contains recordings that span twenty years of GP’s musical experiences. More recently, Paul’s diverse musical accomplishments include fronting New York’s experimental ensemble Inward Becomes an Anthem. Paul also generously contributes his musical talents to collaborate with local poets, visual artists, and musicians— and is most noted for his unique banjo picking presence in Rochester’s Indie-Americana band Hinkley.
Gregory Paul has toured extensively throughout the US, and is currently promoting his latest album “This Side of the Ground”

hey it's gp here.. i'm proposing a solo tour across the US from around july 28 - aug 15. so i'm putting up this bulletin to see if anyone out there might be able to book me at a place to play.. could be a club, bar, cafe, house concert, festival, etc. i'm not too picky, just as long as it's a place that would be accommodating of the kind of music i play. i have a pretty minimal setup, a guitar, banjo, musical saw and some effects pedals. all i'd need is a place with some sort of sound system. please let me know if you can help. if i get enough responses i'll put together a new album to offer for this tour... cheers, - gp gregpaul@gmail.com
