Iruña, Spain (2002 – present, 2008 – present)

A search for the original sense of Gregorian chant.

A chant made by men who prayed and deepened in the meaning of prayer through music.

A music made to express the profoundness of the feeling, when words are not enough, and urge us to go in where only music can reach.

Gregorian Sense is an attempt to deepen into the profound sense of Gregorian chants. In 2002 group was formed by residents at C.M. Bidasoa, Pamplona, Spain. In 2008, a new group is formed with University of Navarre’s members.

They are in course of discovering new musical forms, in a way in which they let the meaning of the lyrics prevail over the musical expression, guided by gregorian semiology and prayer sense.
