  • pretty great stuff. as fr teh sleeping to drone/ambient etc, im ambivalent: on the one hand long listening sessions of some of this type of music can be a liminal experience or at least interesting and causative of locally temporal consciousness changes and as such it one needs to be prey awake to partake (even "hyper awake perhaps). On the other hand music effects us in so many ways that i see no reason not to use it in every state, even the various states of sleep.
  • its true though, go to any artist's page who does this kind of thing and it's just droves of borgy idiots saying how it's the best music to either a) chill out to b) fall asleep to and it totally undermines the capacity for ambient/drone/noise to be a transcendent experience; devaluing it to nothing more than a sedative tool for adhd manbabies after a long WoW session. tape chants is subtle and powerful
