Formed in 2002, originally hailing from Phoenix, AZ and now residing in Oakland, California, Graves at Sea play a very y, slow, painful sounding type of . With members coming from previous bands and one member having knowledge in sound engineering their first demo went extremely well and immediately caught some attention in the subculture, promptly causing the band to get signed and start producing legit material and in turn, gaining even more praise in the metal scene.

In 2007, the band decided to call it quits. They played their last show January 11th, 2008 at Slim’s in San Francisco.

In 2012 they got back together again, this time with a new bass player. They are currently recording new material.
