Grateful Dead

Ripple (4:13)

a beautiful song that brings me chills every time i hear it. mr. garcia was one of the few truly inspired composers of this century.

** Jerry wrote the music, but Robert Hunter wrote the lyrics. Great song

garcia's voice makes the song

  • Such profound lyrics, they really demand a deep analysis. I love the lush acoustic instrumentation, too.
  • "Let it be known there is a fountain That was not made by the hands of men"
  • Good times. The oppression continues. "Guess they're gonna kick the door in again" We keep on truckin'.
  • Magic.

  • Kinda cool when they did this at the Dear Jerry Concert at Merriweather. It was last song and most of the artists that played that night piled onto the stage to sing this. They also put all the words of the song on the big screens so the whole crowd could sing along too. Nice ending for a fun show. RIP Jerry, we miss you.
