Described as one of Australia’s greatest operatic discoveries, classical-crossover Soprano, Grace Bawden's voice has already been likened to a Stradivarius.  Grace’s unique vocal talents are an unearthly, powerful & moving marvel, whose voice lingers in the memory & touches the heart.
At 17, her mature, operatic voice can soar from highs to lows across four octaves. Grace was a Judge’s Choice, Grand Finalist in the Channel 7 Australia’s Got Talent 2008 series & has already been noticed by many heavy-weights in the music & entertainment industry, including Entertainment Editor, Richard Wilkins; Australian Idol Judge, Mark Holden, BJ Cook, & Hans Ebert, Former Executive Director, Universal Music & EMI SE Asia.  Ten year old America’s Got Talent Runner-Up, Jackie Evancho. even named Grace as her inspiration & was shortlisted to tour the UK with Midge Ure (Ultravox) in 2011 from a field of thousands.
With a repertoire over 700 songs, & always a Carols favourite, Grace’s repertoire includes some of the best loved, Arias & high Opera songs including "Un bel di vedremo" (Madam Butterfly), "Vissi D'arte" (Tosca), "Chi il bel sogno di Doretta" (La Rondine), “Song to the Moon" (Rusalka), & many more.  Grace sold-out her Sydney Opera House show for World Youth Day 2008, finishing to a standing ovation.  More recently she ranked #57 as the youngest (by over 7 years) out of 2066 applicants for entry into the prestigious Centro Universale del Bel Canto (CUBEC) in Modena, Italy, run by one of Italy's most revered & beloved sopranos, Ms Mirella Freni.  Ms Freni was often Pavarotti's leading lady & every 2 yrs is on its entry selection panel for Theatro alla Scala (La Scala).  In 2011, Grace plans to study at the La Scuola Dell’ Opera Italiana in Bologna.
Despite offer of a recording contract by a major Australian label, Grace remains independent & recently signed to licence deals with EMI/ Gold Typhoon in Taiwan, China & Hong Kong & a label in the Philippines.  At 15, Grace completed work on her Debut Album “Gifts of Grace” which was released in September 2009, with multi-award winning Producer/ Writer, Audius Mtawarira, as his “project of passion”.  One of her highlights was singing with the Soweto Gospel Choir, as featured in “Cold Outside”.
