Biography

Græ was a heavy psychedelic/stoner rock band from York, PA in the early and mid 2000’s. Like most bands, Græ went through tons of drama and turmoil, but the music that prevailed was a unique mix of metal, space rock, dark funk, and stoner rock that deserves to be heard.
Guitarist Shawn Adams started the band with bassist Tim Varnell and female vocalist Kelly. JoseyB jammed with them once and joined as their drummer. Shawn, a recovering drug and alcohol addict, wanted a sound that made people feel as though in a trance from being fucked up on drugs or alcohol, even if sober.

Before ever playing out, Kelly quit the band. They recruited vocalist Crazy J and began playing out.
On April 6, 2006, Græ played in Harrisburg for the very first time in the basement of the Dragon Fly, opening for Nice Cat (Canada), Year Long Disaster, and Anthrophia. After the show, Shawn, Crazy J, and Tim delivered a letter to JoseyB kicking her out of the band. They had found another drummer, Dan Gonzales, behind her back.
A few months later, after a show at the Silo in Reading, PA, Dan, Shawn, and Tim kicked J out of the band. And a few months later, the rest of Græ fell flat on their faces.
