Goya Dress were a UK indie trio most active in the mid to late 90’s.
Lead singer & guitarist Astrid Williamson has gone onto a solo career while bassist, Terry de Castro and drummer, Simon Pearson have both played with Cinerama and The Wedding Present.

There are some incredible gems hidden away on Goya Dress' EPs... dark, dreamy, unpredictable, sexy ballads like "Closer" and "Jinxed", which Astrid Williamson didn't really equal until here most recent CD, "Day of the lone wolf". How they didn't at least get a strong cult following is beyond me. And how John Cale's production turned "Rooms" into a bland, plasticky sounding thing is equally strange... especially as at the most extreme, there is a lot in common between Astrid & Cale's gut-wrenching ballads.
