I rejected this song at first. However, whether because of using my pro headphones tonight, or a shift in mood, I suddenly wanted to listen to this track on repeat tonight, and every time I listen to it, it feels like scratching an itch. I generally prefer the soundtrack-influenced Goldfrapp sound, and the weirdly beautiful above all, but the poppy stuff is pretty fun as far as that goes, there's an endearing resplendent calm euphoria about much of it. &Then there's still an element of the weird I love about Goldfrapp; i.e. in this song: what jilted lover puts their bad ex on a rocket? It's something cartoons do to each other... it's this kind of silly jilted-lover revenge fantasy with a sci-fi element - and for the life of me I can't stop listening to it tonight.
