This is rubbish, and even Alison knows it, lyrics are poor-written with repetitive chorus and "oooh's" and "aaah's" everywhere, the instrumental sounds not finalized and rushed. And it's because they WERE rushed, they were kinda forced to do this more "commercial" sound because of their label, Alison spoke about it on some interviews and how she preferred to not record it/give it to someone else to sing. Though, it's still a funny album with some mindless dance tunes, but not even comparable with the other five wonderful albums

Interesting how this has kind of become the black sheep of Goldfrapp albums.

This is way better than Supernature and Black Cherry.

Slightly sad to learn that this is the album of theirs they've kind of all but disowned (due to it being a contractual obligation at the time), and that the chances of hearing anything from this performed live ever again are therefore slim. Revealing that they were able to sound this good even when "rushed"...

Heard the album today, glad I picked it up. "Alive" is amazing with that honky tonk piano.

A brilliant pastiche of everything simultaneously over the top and profound (Voicething!!) with the 80s. Impossible not to love.

Seventh Tree and Head First are two of the most unfairly maligned albums I've ever come across.

This got me into Goldfrapp and it's one of my favourites records of 2010.
