23 Jul 2011, 23:50 by znienackaThis is better version of this journal. Now I'm serious, rly.
The idea is to go to the page of your number one artist, and follow the link of it's number one similar artist, then repeating that for this artist and so on, noting down each artist as you go. Do this until you've got to 50 artists (not including your number one). If you get any repeats, just go to the second similar artist or the nearest one that you haven't already had.
So, let's see where I end up...
Starting with Lacrimosa:
5. Black Heaven
8. Terminal Choice
10. Stendal Blast and Blutengel
12. To Elysium
15. Domina Noctis
16. Mercury Rain
21. Eyes of Eden
23. Emerald Mind
31. Factory of Dreams
10 Jun 2011, 20:15 by MrsAlexiLaiho19I know that quite a few lists like this exist already but I felt like doing my own. The main reason I wanted to do this list is because I've never seen a list that includes the style of the bands and if you're searching for some specific style you have to go through all this bands and it will probably take you a long time until you find what you are looking for. So this should make things a lot easier.
Another thing I want to mention is that not all the bands in this list are really metal, but they have metal influences or some other connection to it.
If you know some more bands I didn't include in here than please let me know
A VERY HUGE THANK YOU TO THE ONES WHO HELPED ME SO FAR! ROCK ON! :)
A City Serene - Post-Hardcore/Screamo from the United States
A Dark Performance - Melodic Gothic Metal from Bolivia
A Light Divided - Pop Metal/Rock from the United States

A New Dawn - Melodic Gothic Metal from the Netherlands

9 Sep 2006, 07:27 by Anne13I've started this again! From now on, I will try to keep up with your recommendations :).
I made a list of metal bands with a clean female lead-singer.What there may be:
-female clean vocals
-male clean vocals
What there may not be:
-mostly female growls (so the biggest part should be clean female vocals)
Of course, not all bands may be considered metal. However, I will decide whether I think something belongs on this list or not. This list is meant for anyone interested in the genre and some bands may be interesting to them. Like, for example, The Birthday Massacre. They're not metal, but it is interesting to those into ffmetal.
Searching for bands to start with?
For those of you that want to explore new genres or kinds, I made some bands bold. Those bands are rather good to start with. Also, you might want to check out the following compilation cd's:
-Great Female Power
-Into Temptation (The best of gothic rock)
