As with all GYBE work that I've heard, I like this hugely. Musically, GYBE is always rewarding, but I could do without the recordings of homeless people. Maybe some people feel righteously sanctioned by that jazz, but I find it pretentious--just more uncomfortable, embarrassing, posturing. It seems juvenile. But the music is so fulfilling that I am willing to put up with it. I agree with their politics (if that is indeed why they are doing it) but find them a bit heavy-handed.
