Btw, the new album is quite ok after all. People are saying it's a crappy album but it's just because they're disappointed. And the feel of being disappointed makes them say those things while in fact, 1000hp is a decent album.

@down. Don't be like that (also, you forgot The Other Side). They still can write pretty good stuff, even with their new style(!). They just don't have a vision for whole albums and try to fill them with shitty outsiders. They just could put more themselves and listen what their fans expect from them - they're entertaining band and this should be done. Here is my little list of >2006 good tracks, that could be 'good album' together - http://s2.ifotos.pl/img/Zrzut-ekr_esssqnp.png.

Godsmack + Faceless + Awake. That's all, we don't need other albums.

imo, the new record is - along with IV and TO - their worst record so far. They'll probably never return to the time when they kicked ass with songs like Bad Religion and Moon Baby. Older 3 records >>>>>> newer 3 records.

I absolutely adore 1000hp. It's not a perfect album by any means, and it's not Godsmack "going back to their roots"... I just love it in general. It's not quite as good as the self-titled album or Awake, but it's far better than Faceless, IV, and waaaaay better than The Oracle.

I'll internet-punch in the face the next person that will say 1000hp is back to the roots :D Just... IV is not the roots, neither The Oracle. The point is 1000hp is somewhere between these two albums. Conservative rock'n'roll sounds of The Oracle mixed with melodic aspects of IV - including just rip offs from this album (e.g. Turning to stone - 1:23/Generation Day - 1:20). This makes 1000hp not only dissapointing after all this "we're back in the roots" thing, but also, for the first time, there is NOTHING new from godsmack. Even the "moments" of the album - Genration Day, Something Different - are not as good as even The Oracle's ones - love-hate-sex-pain and what if. maybe it's not the worst album so far, but surely makes the worst first impression. (And please, let's pretend that 1000hp song didn't make it to the album)
