Every time I listen to this track I envision the video of it. I think of the Manhattan Project. I think of Los Alamos. I wonder what the scientists who detonated the first successful atomic device thought about their creation. If they hadn't done it first, it would've been the Russians, or the Germans, but I really wonder what Oppenheimer felt. The source of energy was immense, potentially so destructive. I'm sure he knew if his team hadn't harnessed it first it would've been someone else--but to live knowing you detonated the first atomic weapon, how would that feel?
