Go Getters

The Go Getters are a rap group from Chicago, Illinois. They formed circa 1996 and consisted of Kanye West, GLC, Really Doe, Arrowstar and Timmy G. The group only had one release, 1999’s World Record Holders, which had limited pressings and is therefore very rare. The record featured guest spots from Rhymefest, Mase, Mikkey Halsted and his sister Miss Criss. The group broke up when Kanye left to travel to New York City to make beats for the likes of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, but they remained friends and both GLC and Really Doe are now signed to Kanye’s G.O.O.D Music Label.
