There is more than one artist with this name.
Also, music from the closed sandbox game from Tiny Speck, Glitch.
1. Glitch: Nu Metal, Rapcore band from Philippines. (Mix of old LB, Korn and Deftones)
Formed in late 1997.
Started doing covers from 311, RATM, Korn, Deftones and Limp Bizkit
with a few Incubus, Shootyz Groove and Phunk Junkeez.
Glitch was and is still the frontrunners and pioneers of this genre in Cebu.
Fusing Rap and Heavy Riffs with that distinct Hip-Hop beat.
Played around Cebu’s Underground Band Scene until 1999 when they
bagged NU 107’s Cebu’s Rock Assembly.
About this time the band focused on writing original materials where they
caught the attention of Octo Arts/EMI with the help of Lee from Slapshock
(who submitted their demo cd).
Eventually they signed a record deal with Octo Arts/EMI under the label
of Virgin. They are the first of this genre from Cebu who broke and made
initial success in Manila. They played around the Manila Rock Scene where
they gathered a noticeable following. Newer bands cite Glitch as one of their
Filipino Influences during the late 90’s and early 2000 era.
Eventually, different plans on career paths have caused the band to part ways in 2002.
Now after a decade, rumors are starting to spread of the band reuniting again
before the end of 2011. Who knows? Let’s just wait and see and bring back
the heavy sound of that era.
2. The Glitch (GGlitch) a band formed in Iowa City, IA came out with the album “Scenes From the Good Life” in 2009.
3. A Baltimore, USA based electronic music group formed in 1990, and founders of the Defective Records label.
