This record is absolutely stunning, and I'm a honestly a little surprised to find myself saying that a solo percussion album is completely engaging -- even engrossing, from beginning to end. It's probably not for everyone, and it's definitely a "sit and listen" rather than "put it on while doing something else", but sitting listening is greatly rewarded. Beautiful compositions, intense performances, and the production is stellar. Wow. I've always kind of wondered where the little bit of noisy/glitchy/weird influence in Wilco comes from, and I think I've solved that little mystery.
