Galveston, oh, Galveston,
I still hear your seawinds blowing;
I still see her dark eyes glowing.
She was twenty one, when I left Galveston.

  • Wow, not a very big Glenn Campbell fan but thoroughly impressed. A great listen :)
  • A college friend of mine had this album and the cover photo was of Glen Campbell in what looked like a World War I doughboy uniform. This 1969 music video is likewise military in flavor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHjWil-f3C8
  • Old Times were great times... I love this Southern singing
  • This is ok !But I like the'original'better!!!
  • Beautiful song and voice!
  • I spent many days enjoying Galveston when I was young. That was before the hurricanes blew down all the great beach piers with their amusements and souvenir shops out into the water .... Also, before the City decided to tear down important landmarks such as Fort Crockett and to pour concrete into the old World War II bunkers that were along the Seawall. That's a shame. Today, the Island is far too commercialized and a pale shadow of what it once was in all its glory
  • beautiful
  • this is a live version, not the hit single
  • A beautiful song sung beautifully ......never tire of hearing it.
