I rarely feel as exposed as when listening to those songs in her production that deal with the conflict between earthy passions and transcendence to higher states of being. Guess my formative years as a catholic left more than I thought they would.
Still, that feeling of being untouchable yet burning up in the flames of desire, finding yourself consumed, unable to feel any attraction to the human... she delves in it with powerful lyrics and trance-striken voice, and leaves me bare, speechless.
io non so amare
(I don't know how to love)
No use in asking me to come back
You're well acquainted with my symptoms
I don't know how to give
Gifts of the flesh, I can't make any
I don't know how to love
I don't love anymore
Don't you dare opening my heart
There's a time for every single thing
You know it
There's a time to hate
