If you want to be more certain of what you'll hear add a track from a specific artist to your library : http://www.last.fm/search/overview?q=William+Tell+Overture&type=track&page=65

No, e262, I am sure that's no joke! It is meant very serious. It is probably the first take of the original.

I can imagine the reaction of classical purists to this nervy choice by the Last.fm editors. Since Spike Jones isn't off limits I guess I can look forward to Carl Stalling's stylings, yay!

Miserable sound-quality. This is probably a recording from the 1940/s or '50/s.

Haha, I didn't expect to hear Spike Jones while surfing for classical music.

Superb. The instrumentalists return top-flight performances all around. The arrangement and conducting are top notch.

This song brings me back to the hallways of my highschool - the music came on and we knew that we only had a limited amount of time to get from our lockers to our classrooms. I think it will always be that way with this song, which I am not complaining about. Because I like the memories.

MISLABELED! This is the Spike Jones version. Jones, btw, was a great musical parodist. Well worth listening to when you want a good laugh.
