Their R&B music is pure and real. It is ‘musical’ in the sense that more attention is paid to the music and melody lines, rather than focusing just on the beats and rhythm.
Everything started when Blue and J met the twins, Phoenix and Trix, at a West End talent show. Before Ghostt was formed, Blue and J used to be in another R&B group.
Their first tour and their first real live performances happened in 1998, after they finished recording their first single, “Changes,” which was picked up by several mainstream stations including Radio One, Kiss FM and Choice. Since then, they have toured most of England and parts of Scotland, and they have also performed in shows out of the UK, such as in Lebanon and Spain.
Musically influenced by different eras like the early 90s and late 80s soul, gospel, Latin, lovers rock, jazz fusion and rock, their inspirations to write come from real life. Most of their songs are based on real life experiences, emotions and relationships.
They are currently working on their debut album and have just finished filming their debut music video for “The Naughty Tune,” which first appeared on Channel U.
