Ghost Monkey is the sound project of Finnish artist Polyfonken, also the producer of polyfonsoundlab.

Ghost Monkey’s 2001 debut album Tea For Miss Yamaha had a small, self-published vinyl release, but the tracks were also made available for free download on polyfonken.com. Tea For Miss Yamaha gained some notoriety when it was featured as the soundtrack for Zen Bound, an award-winning and critically acclaimed iPhone game. Since then there have been some other notable releases, such as the 2004 Travel Sampler EP.

Polyfonken described Ghost Monkey as “homemade music for slow days, for coming home late at night, head swimming with sounds, turning the tv to static and listening to soothing sounds,” with the end result being “some kind of adult-oriented downtempo.”

    "Tea For Miss Yamaha" in my heart since 2007. Ahhh... Just amazing. For more interesting Finnish music I suggest you people check out Kausemus and Satumnaisuus. Both very nice as well.

    The new awesome iPhone/iPod Touch game Zen Bound has music by Ghost Monkey. The game is simply the most beautiful iPod game there is. Also the soundtrack can be loaded to you iPod from the game. Beautiful music!

    :D it was for a while but since it's self-released & on vinyl ... well ... it's a real P.i.t.a to ship vinyls to U.S. or canada! new stuff as soon as i find a nice company with proper distribution! thanks guys! <3 t..
