Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, the Ghola project started in June of 2010 with the unreleased, incomplete “The Golden Path” EP. This would be pushed back and to the side for work on the debut EP of two man Black Metal outfit Devoured made up of Ghola and Kheper (Matt Themelco of Melbourne Melodic Death Metal band Orpheus), titled “God Is In His Heaven, All Is Right With The World”. The Devoured project dissolved after a number of month’s and the recordings for the EP, as well with tracks that were already being written and recorded for the full length released later in the year of 2011, were all reused for the debut Ghola album that shared the same name as the EP. The debut album, “God Is In His Heaven, All Is Right With The World”, was released in the Winter of 2011.

Following the release of “God Is In His Heaven, All Is Right With The World”, Ghola began work on the follow up album, “Apotheosis”. This would be the first work to be written entirely for a specific Ghola album rather than a remixing of tracks. “Apotheosis” was released by Ghola in the Spring of 2011. Quickly following the sophomore effort was the “Into The Void” EP, a 2 track EP that came about from experimenting with Ghola’s effects station just minutes after finishing recording “Apotheosis”. “Into The Void” saw a Summer 2011 release.
