1.Randy B. Williams is “Geologist”, an artist from St. Albert, a suburb of Edmonton. He is a
composer, singer, musician and performer who plays 17 musical instruments, has 158 published
songs on 32 Compact Disks (iTunes). His full length albums include: For Desiree … Wherever
You Are 1994 (11 songs), 2009 (21 songs); Children Have No Rights 1994 (11 songs), 2009 (18
songs); Rare Antiquity: Digging Down To The Past 2003, 2009 (both 19 songs); Yeamerang
2011 (15 songs); and Curse The Evil Of The Luck Lord 2011 (31 song 2-disc album); SING-LES
2012 (18 songs).
On July 31, 2012, GEOLOGIST will release a cover of the Beatles’ Revolution, performed as a
cross between the acoustic and electric versions. Its cover has a self explanatory reference, all in good humor for fans of the kid who copied his name.
For GEOLOGIST, music is the study of rock in all its diverse forms. Song is key: melody first,
bass has to make your adrenalin move, guitars need that analogue feel, piano must bring you
there to that sweet place, drums need to be whatever the song requires. Add harmonies, other
instruments. Lyrics need to say it with artistry. Music’s history are the ingredients of today’s rock
compositions.
