Geoffrey William Rickly (born March 8, 1979) is a singer and songwriter from Dumont, New Jersey. He is most known for forming the alternative rock/post-hardcore band Thursday in 1997, which got its start playing basement shows in New Brunswick and surrounding New Jersey and New York areas. Thursday is on hiatus as of 2012 and Geoff is currently the frontman of the experimental punk supergroup United Nations.
Musicians who have taken part in the project include Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw and Head Automatica and Converge drummer Ben Koller. The lineup for their performances in January 2013 includes David Haik, the drummer of Pianos Become the Teeth, and another unnamed guitarist from the band. Geoff Rickly has also been playing solo shows and released a mixtape, titled Mixtape 1, on November 15, 2012.
