  • I'm still working on puzzling this one out. It's a brilliant piece of work -- an utterly fantastic Progressive Rock album, but it's also dense as hell and you have to really concentrate and give it the attention it deserves in order for its brilliance to reveal itself. Gentle Giant is one of those bands whose work is pretty consistently great so it's hard to determine which album is their best. Octopus is the one I've listened to most and the one that clicked with me most immediately, The Power and the Glory is a fascinating record that also takes some time to reveal its secrets, Acquiring the Taste is a masterwork and this one, as I've said, is both brilliant and challenging. I would say that Interview could well be the band's peak, presenting the band as bitter but masquerading as happy/"Gentle." In fact, I would say that Interview gives us the band at its most emotional, and the key song is "Design."
  • Pretty flawless in fact

  • probably their best album.
  • brilliant album, maybe the best GG......
