  • Probably the awesomest organ playing in a prog band.
  • I'm not really sure I can rank in a specific order but my prog top ten would probably be Caravan, Genesis, Gentle Giant, King Crimson, Koenjihyakkei, Magma, The Mars Volta, Van der Graaf Generator, Yes, and Frank Zappa. If you allowed prog metal I'd have to expand it to twenty artists and Blut aus Nord, Deathspell Omega, Enslaved, Gorguts, Kayo Dot, Lux Occulta, maudlin of the Well, Moonsorrow, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, and Devin Townsend would probably fill out the list. (If motW and KD count as one artist to you then throw Atheist on there as well).
  • masterpiece
  • I guess for me it goes 1. King Crimson, 2. Gentle Giant, 3. Pink Floyd, 4. Yes, 5. Camel. Haven't heard enough VDGG to put em on and say what you will about PF and if you consider them prof or not but they have some nice tunes.
  • fine by me as long as genesis and rush aren't there
  • Nice list vin... but I would rank: 1 - Van Der Graaf Generator 2 - Yes 3-King Crimson 4 Gentle Giant 5 Camel. It's hard to put one in front of the other cause they are all so good
  • Best Prog Bands in the World: 1 - Van Der Graaf Generator 2 - Gentle Giant 3 - Yes 4 - Camel 5 - King Crimson

  • Вот она, победа акустики над электронными экспериментами в проге(по крайней мере у Gentle Giant). Интересно, что вдохновило группу на такое занятное название?
  • Gentle Giant are the prog-kings in my opinion [2]
