Held the book so tightly in my hand
I saw your picture, heard you call my name
There was something strange, I could not look away
I wanted to be there, I wanted to go

I truly like the epic buildup to the more laid back second half.

Like the song but was never too sure about Collins' vocals on it. Perhaps it should've just stayed an intstrumental...

not their best work, but it worked at the time. nice instumental. vocals make it more pop than prog. i wore three sides live cassette tape out.

One of my all-time favorites by Genesis. Put this one on my tombstone.

Hehe, c/p from the Phil Collins version's page :P... I don't know which version of this song I dislike more, tbh. The underlying song is pretty good, but the Genesis version is too slow, too boring. The synths are quite good, though. This version is the complete opposite: too fast and overproduced to the point of being sickly. This song needed something between these two extremes.
