* BIOGRAPHY:
Gehan Rateb is an Egyptian pop singer whose genres also includes Middle Eastern and World Music. She was born in Cairo and lives in Egypt; so her native language is naturally Arabic. Gehan speaks English fluently, and can claim French and Italian as secondary languages.
Gehan graduated from the Faculty of Arts, English Literature department at Ain Shams University. She holds an American Diploma in Marketing from the American University in Cairo, and did her professional studies in Foreign Exchange trading.
Gehan played her first instrument when she was three years old at Maria Oselia Treatchy, the Italian Nuns School. Music has always been part of her life ever since, as well as stage and live performances. Her acting career started after her university studies while working completely solo on her first album.
