Gazz Marlow

Gazz Marlow is an English singer/guitarist/songwriter, whose most notable role is that of being second guitarist for successful rock band INME. Aside from this Gazz also fronts a Brighton based rock band DRY RISE.

As a solo artist Gazz has recorded one solo EP entitled “Seagull Samaritan” and he has begun selling this at INME shows. Musically it is best described as “alternative acoustic”, less folky than many contemporary acoustic artists and with a number of textures created between the interaction of 2 guitars, cello, vocals and piano. Taking influences from bands such as Silverchair, Red House Painters, Nirvana, Dave McPherson, and Frank Turner. The EP features some very unconventional guitar tunings - such as on Seagull Samaritan (E,A,D,G,A,D) and Pieces (D,A,D,G,Bb,C).

The concept for the title track of the EP is that Gazz, alongside Dave McPherson (also of InMe) witnessed a seagull get hit by a taxi, which Gazz attempted to save from further injury by removing it from the road. The lyrics are a first-person imaginary account from the seagulls perspective.
