Dutch band Galaxy-Lin was the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Robbie van Leeuwen, who had come to greater fame with pop bands like The Motions and Shocking Blue (yes the ones who hit a #1 in the USA with “Venus”). Galaxy-Lin was his progressive rock outing, and truly progressive they were with their concept of guitars being replaced by mandolins! The band, active between 1974 and 1976, featured - among others of course - singer Rudy Bennett (pretty good) and Dick Remelink (saxes), whom some may know from Ekseption and Trace. During their lifetime they made two LP’s and a handful of singles
