Biography
G-Money is a Musical Guyanese based group which was established in 2005. It consist of five members namely Levar Gittens aka De General (co-founder) 2005, Jamal Gittens (co-founder) 2005, Marvin Dodson aka Dappa Dogg 2007 and Jamael Williams aka So-Rath 2008. The name G-Money is quite distinct and time relative where as the G is anonymous but members would say it means ‘Get’ (to achieve, to acquire).
The title of the Youngest and Fastest Rising Musical group in Guyaneses musical history is still owned by G-Money. The versatility of the group allows them to compose, write, publish and produce several genres of music namely Soca, R&B, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Mix Genres, Reggae, New Era, Reggaeton, Acoustic Rock, ect. To date, the group has recorded 2 Multi-Cultured Albums titled Guy-Fusion and Money Grammar, also 7 Multi-Cultured videos. Albums are available at Giftland Office Max and FCE Systems and other sources. G-Moneys first recorded hit song was Aids in Society which then lead to G-Money making Guyanese history when made the 1st hip hop dance video Stand Up. The groups first stage performance was a dual served where they performed at two events in one night. Miss Guyana World 2006 & 2007, and Whats Hott Guyana. After those followed Whats Hott Guyana 2006-2009, Positive Vibes (entry song ‘Aids in Soceity’ achieving 2nd place)
