(1996 – present)

G&G Sindikatas is a crew that is active since 1996. The group has released 5 albums to date: Tavo Sielos Vagiz, Betono sakmės, Gatves Lyga, Alchemija and Išvien. G&G Sindikatas consists of 5 members - 3 MCs: Svaras, Kastetas, Pushaz, producer Donciavas and a DJ - Dj Mamania.

G&G Sindikatas have been a part of the Lithuanian hip-hop scene for 11 years already. In the very beginning, the band consisted of 2 MC’s (Svaras & Giga) laying rhymes down on the music produced by Exem, the well-known Lithuanian electronic music project. The band gave occasional live and radio performances. A collaboration track with the punk band “Turboreanimacija” even managed to reach No. 1 in the charts of a then-popular independent radio station.

In 1997, the high tide of hip-hop was gone in Lithuania. MC Giga left the band to pursue a career in a different field, while Svaras continued working on new tracks. In 1998, he met producer Donciavas who was working in a small independent recording studio called Porno Sound and eventually started producing new instrumentals for Svaras. Kastetas, a former punk rock drummer who was working on his hip-hop project Afro in the same studio, later appeared on several tracks by Svaras. Guest appearances were also made by MC Pushaz, then member of the well-known hip-hop band Zenitas.

Svaras was in search of a DJ to provide scratching tricks during live performances. Soon he got to know DJ Mamania, who from that point on became permanently associated with the group.
