The duo “Fyder and Everhart”, comprised of singer-songwriters Glen Everhart and Ted Fyder, performed together full time from 1989 to 1998, created a special kind of contemporary acoustic folk music that was as heartwarming as it was fun. These native Minnesotans wrote (and Glen continues to write) songs that feature the natural world and family topics, in styles ranging from folk, to country, to rock. The 3-4 shows they do together yearly now are mostly in lounge settings at resorts, but still feature their trademark (though not quite as tight) vocal and instrumental arrangements on guitars, harmonica, and mandolin. Their original material combines upbeat, rhythm guitar based tunes with contemplative and touching ballads, and they can cover the last 50 years of American contemporary music.

Formed in 1989, “Fyder and Everhart” have 5 recordings of their unique midwestern folk music. Their first recording, Northern Minnesota, is out of print and the CD Uncle Don’s Guitar, is available by request only. In 1994 they released Moments of Truth, followed by a cassette of children’s music titled I’ve Got The HeBeJeBe’s, which is now available on CD. Prompted by many requests for CD versions of material from their first recordings, they released a compilation of Minnesota outdoors music entitled Goin’ Up North in 1998. This is their most cohesive and well recorded project to date, and contains most of the material that has gotten them airplay on radio and television stations all over Minnesota and Wisconsin.
