For an album I claim not to like as much as its predecessor I sure can't stay away from it. The second most listened record of the year for me, behind only Death Grips' The Money Store.

Love a lot of the songs, can't stand the production and mixing. I think the tracklisting is crummy too... 'Rubber Animals' needs to be in the first half because it seems throwaway at 14, and 'A Guide to Men' needs to be switched with 'Cosmo's Ladder'. Also 'Goals in Slow Motion' and 'I Am The Least of Your Problems' needed to be left off while 'destroywhitchurch.com' should have made the cut. Still, it's their album, not mine, and I know the band is rightly proud of it. Frankly I think the lyrics are a bit TOO free-wheeling and Falco-esque, but I guess I'm alone there.

First half of the first half is good. Things get a little shit around City of Exploded Children and even Polymers (which I liked in the EP) was a little staid by the end of the second half of the first half. Second half is inventive, a good direction shown, as was somewhat suggested by the Polymers EP. I'm not sure if the album is any better or any worse than the previous efforts though yet.
