16 Oct 2005, 20:47 by raspberrychucksI was listening to New Year's Project on the bus this afternoon and there's something about Chris Carrabba's voice in this song that gives me chills.
It's mainly in the line "anything that I deserve." The second syllable of "deserve" just rings amazingly with the guitar and it's just perfect. It reminds me of making notes ring on violin. If I remember correctly from my lessons, violin is the only instrument where if you play note that's the same as an open string, no matter what octave, the open string will vibrate and ring as long as it's perfectly in tune.
So I listened to it twice on the bus because that line just sounds amazing.
My friend Marty's right. Chris Carrabba really should rejoin Further Seems Forever. Not that he should stop with Dashboard Confessional, because I really enjoy that too, but The Moon is Down is an amazing album and I would love to hear more of Chris Carrabba's voice in this style of music.
