The Funky Aztecs are a rap group from Northern California, best-known for collaborating with 2Pac on the track “Slippin’ Into Darkness”. Members included Merciless AKA Merc100Man, Indio, and Sapo-Loco. Straight outta Vallejo, California, the Funky Aztecs hit the Bay Area rap scene in the 1990’s. Their music was a mixture of political rap laced with tales from the street. The groups lead rapper Merciless, went on to a very successful solo career. He has worked with Lone Star Ridaz, Happy Perez, Latino Velvet, Mac Dre, SPM, Baby Bash, Gemini and many more…
