I need to be weaned offa these!!

The next time you stand up in front of a group of people, you'll say:
    I Miss You
    "I MISS YOU!" Uhhhh...weird? Maybe?

Your favorite thing to say when drunk is:
    Deora Ar Mo Chroi
I guess I WOULD ramble on in strange languages...although I do not really know...

    Your message to the world:
    Wendy Clear

    Your deepest secret:
    Beat It

    Your innermost desire:
YES I have always wanted to...bring my own BOMBS! *sigh* well now that you know that I am an insane terrorist, I guess I'll have to have another dream. ho hum.

Somewhere in your wedding vows, you'll include:
    Everything Is Alright
hahahahaha it'd kinda suck if it wasn't, no?!

    On your deathbed, you'll whisper:
...because I will be demented and somewhat poetic! And speaking French!

Your friends say behind your back:
    Wrong Impression
I give EVERYONE the wrong impression, I know that! They don't need to say it behind my back. I am almost hurt! XD

  • Music is my new intoxication, sorry alcohol

    26 Jun 2006, 16:36 by UPRC

After getting incredibly drunk and throwing up countless times, I just don't enjoy alcohol anymore. I even had to dump my beer out last night because it wasn't very satisfying to drink. Anyone who knows how big of a beer fan I used to be should be surprised to hear that one.

Anyway, I've given up alcohol. I just can't enjoy it now, no matter how hard I try.. So I've had to find a substitute... Music.

You saw that one coming, didn't ya? Just like with alcohol, I constantly want to check out new artists, new songs, etc.. And I think that I've found some neat stuff this month. So, since June is coming to a close, I think I will share with you what I've obtained this month, and I will go over what I thought was good and what wasn't so good.

    Aimee Mann
Kind of reminds me of Sheryl Crow. I definitely hear a rocker in this girl, but she seems to prefer more of a soft style of music.. Oh well, I still think she sounds good.

  • American Idol downloads

At the risk of angering my only fan (hi stewf), I'll confessing to watching American Idol. I think that it's not the greatest display of singing talent, but I enjoy that they're making it cool for young people to sing, and it's good clean fun. I also like it when they showcase certain songwriters, who most often take a backseat to the singers.

So in honor of last night's episode, I'm downloading Moody's Mood For Love (sung last night by Elliot Yamin) and Hemorrhage (Chris Daughtry). "Moody's Mood for Love" is sung by Eddie Jefferson, who takes jazz instrumental improvisations and puts lyrics to them. He's one of the pioneers of the style, known as vocalese. Jefferson demonstrates this masterfully on So What, but this track is quite lovely.

"Hemorrhage" is one of those tracks that I heard several times several years ago on the radio. Now that I know who sung it it's worth a download and a few stars.
