FRIENDS OF MAN (aka Dean Ranel) is an alternative rock music project, the audio/visual work and recording name of songwriter/musician/engineer/producer Dean Ranel.
FRIENDS OF MAN draws musical influences from 60′s psychedelic garage and beat music, 70′s and 80’s glam, classical, progressive and indie rock to bring a timeless sound and style that crosses over genres. The lyrical content is ripe with symbolism and themes of love, loss, hope and the potential of man with references of myth, social cynicism, blunt truths or fantastical themes of underground cities, buried secrets and off world activity.
