Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (October 15, 1844 – August 25, 1900), was a nineteenth-century German philosopher. He wrote critiques of religion, morality, contemporary culture, philosophy, and science, using a distinctive style and displaying a fondness for aphorism. Nietzsche’s influence remains substantial within and beyond philosophy, notably in existentialism and postmodernism. His style, and radical questioning of the value and objectivity of truth, raise considerable problems of interpretation, generating an extensive secondary literature in both continental and analytic philosophy. Nonetheless, his key ideas include interpreting tragedy as an affirmation of life, an eternal recurrence that has fallen into numerous interpretations, and a reversal of Platonism.

nietzsche might have been an anti-anti-semite and anti-nationalist. but he also believed that all beings are driven by nothing but will to power and he defended earthly heroism and the ecstacy of rape and violence against weak democractic egalitarianism. SO IT'S MUCH MORE HILARIOUS THAT PEOPLE FIND IT SO HILARIOUS THAT NAZIS CAN DRAW FROM HIS PHILOSOPHY TO SUPPORT THEIR BELIEFS, ISNT IT!?!? ... anyway. the fact that he hugged a horse before going crazy fully redeems him.

I find it hilarious how the Nazis co-opted Nietzsche when he was staunchly opposed to German nationalism and anti-Semitism. [2]

i feel sorry for nietzsche. it must have been unpleasant to slowly descend into madness. & his hugging the horse is evidence that he had a good heart after all. he should have had more fun :O(.

His piano works remember me of Chopin, they are more Romantism-like.

Stupid that this anarchist-influenced (see Max Stirner), anarchist-influencing philosopher is connected with "Anti-Anarchism".
